So every year Thanksgiving Point does $2 Tuesdays to all their museums on their property. It is usually chaos with everyone else thinking they have to go because it's so cheap compared to their normal prices. So we went on the last day of the month while Adey was in school (i do feel bad that Adey misses out on a few of our fun things lately but I do enjoy the one on one time with the littles) and surprisingly (I was thinking it wouldn't be too bad with everyone back in school) it was pretty busy but we still had fun:

Fairy Gardens...year 2
We love going to this place up in the mountains:
http://utah.todaysmama.com/2013/07/18/utahs-hidden-secret-enchanted-fairy-forest/
It is a tradition we started last year just after we got married but at that time my parents and a friend (Pappas) came with us. When we had Emery, we tried going when my mom came out for a visit but it was too hard to cross the rocks with the rapid water movement from the snow run off. We have come to a conclusion that August is a great month to go (this time at the end of August there wasn't any water...last year there was a very small stream to pass over).
So last Saturday afternoon we packed up a picnic, our rocks we painted when my mom came out (so we could take up her rocks and the one she painted in honor of my dad) and headed up the mountains. We grabbed the girls a new movie to watch in the car (bubble guppies) since the drive is about an hour and a half for us. And secretly we ended up eating our dinner in the car. The drive is beautiful and I love the conversations Nate and I get to have (one of which we are hoping to take a date and float the river next year that we pass along the way). We didn't see any animals this time on our drive up (mom thought she saw a bear last time but it turned out to be a rock-like-bear...lol. We had to stop along the way to get our $6 park fee so we could be honest citizens!
This time too it was quite busy! We parked, loaded up our stuff and headed our on our way.
It is such a short hike and once you get to the forest it is fun to look at all the other rocks people have painted. here are a few of my favorite from this trip:

When we got to our area we had staked out last year, we learned it had become quite "developed" around it. So we had to move a few rocks around and make more of a defined barrier and then we added our new rocks.
(these were our rocks from our last year)
and until next year...(we have ideas of fences and path ways and houses to add our our village next year)

cookie making
While Emery took a nap, me and Paisley goo made some yummy cookies (along with her Jake friends)...jealous?!
The little's bonding time
Adey started school 2 days ago and the little's and I have had fun getting a little more one and one time while Big sis is at school.
We read books and giggle...
We make goofy faces and enjoy breakfast together...
We play at the park and take pictures and have a picnic and enjoy this beautiful cooler end of summer...
