Aw man when did my little girl grow so quickly that she is entering her third year of school: 2nd Grade. Her teacher this year is Ms. Gulledge. She is an older lady and Adey really seems to like her. She was sad though that she isn't in the same class as quite a few of her friends (she does have a few) but I reminded her that she would see them at recess and lunch time and maybe they would be her math class since they separate amongst the different teachers for that subject based on skill level. Adey was asked to be in the highest level of math doing 3rd grade. It sure is going to challenge her! I hope she will be able to keep up. Her reading is improving even though it isn't her favorite subject: like mother like daughter! Anyways heres to another great year at Odyssey Charter School and I hope she grows and learns as much as she did in the previous year!

Another $2 Tuesday
We have about a week left until Nate starts his class and Adey starts 2nd grade and Paisley starts preschool and the with gymnastics and our daily lifestyle we are going to be quite busy which is ok (it will all be fun and times we will look back and see the bonds it helped for us to grow closer together) so...This past Tuesday we spent playing at Thanskgiving point but this time at the Museum of Natural Curiousity (it was for another $2 Tuesday). This one was way more packed than the discovery museum we went to last week but honestly so much more fun! I think next year we will get a pass (it gets you into everything and other discounts) so we can enjoy it all year long and not just on the crazy packed $2 Tuesday's... But this year while Nate is finishing up the last major part of his boot camp for his career (full stack web developer and digital marketing) we still went and had A LOT of fun. Check it out:

Gymnastics meet #2
This last Saturday night (August 13) at 5, Adelynn had her second gymnastics meet at Arete and she performed so well! I love seeing her progress (her vault she doesn't have help anymore, she didn't fall off the beam, she is working harder at being stiff with pointed toes). She received all 9.0 or higher in each event (vault, beam, floor, and bars) and earned a Gold medal for her age group! We could be more proud of her and all her hard work with practicing! way to go Adey!
splash pad with friends
So one of my long time friends from the first time I lived in Utah and worked with at A to Z Building Blocks has two little girls pretty close to Adelynn and Paisleys age (Kennedi and Lexi). A few weeks ago we met them at McDonalds to play at the play place because it was just too hot to play outside. This next play date we had with them we played at the splash pad in Alpine on a Saturday and little did we know we had planned it during their city days and parking was kind of a night mare but on the plus side not too many were playing at the splash pad and the kids got to pet and ride some animals for free at the petting zoo afterwards. It turned out being even more fun since we had a hard time getting the kids to spend much time even in the water.
Temple Square
This past Saturday I was doing a photo shoot for an 8 year old boy who is getting baptized in September. We had a little mix up on location and they eventually met us at Temple Square in Salt Lake City (we had some time to spare and walk around these beautiful grounds while we waited). This temple is so beautiful and I love how I always feel when I leave after being around it. We had the opportunity to explore some in the visitors center and watch a wonderful video there and speak with some of the sister missionaries. It was a nice outing as a family before we start some new schedules amongst our family in the up comping weeks...

Summertime at the PARK
I can't tell you how many times we have gone to the park this summer!! I am very grateful to live like a block from a really nice one with lots of shade and two different age appropriate playgrounds and lots of grass area to run around in and some swings (although I wish it had a few baby swings) and some pavilions and cement to ride bikes and scooters. It is one thing I will really miss when we move into our own new house next year.
Anyway this particular visit to the park we packed up some picnic food and spent a couple hours at the park. I took my nice camera and snapped a few good pictures of the girls. It was so fun and daddy came over on his lunch break and we invited Kimberly and her kids. The weather was perfect and we had a great time!
