While Emery took a nap, me and Paisley goo made some yummy cookies (along with her Jake friends)...jealous?!

The little's bonding time

Adey started school 2 days ago and the little's and I have had fun getting a little more one and one time while Big sis is at school.

We read books and giggle...

We make goofy faces and enjoy breakfast together...

We play at the park and take pictures and have a picnic and enjoy this beautiful cooler end of summer...

First day of First grade jitters

So on August 18, 2015 little Miss Adelynn had meet the teacher night/learn where your new classroom was located/bring all your supplies so you don't have to carry them with on the first day of school.  We went and found her classroom, met her teacher Mrs.Lind who is brand new to school, turned in all her supplies (who knew how much a first grader needed...phew the years to come the list I can only imagine will grow bigger and bigger) had her picture taken, filled out some paperwork, Adey picked out her desk, talked with her teacher, took a picture with her teacher and we were on our way.

Adey's teacher took these pictures for her board of her students but Paisley wanted her picture taken too so I did...our little Pirate Paisley...arghhhh

Mrs. Lind, Adelynn's first grade teacher

The night before school we read "The Night Before First Grade" and then she tried to go to sleep but lets face it she was a little too excited so it took her a little longer so she probably finally fell asleep around 9.  When she woke up on her first day of first grade, she felt the need to wake up before Nate gets up for work which is 630 (he said he heard her down stairs) but she finally came out of her room when she heard me around 710.  She wanted rice pudding, juice, and strawberries for breakfast.  She picked out her outfit the night before and we straightened her hair.  lets face it...she looked sooooo beautiful!  Just melted me at how big she is getting!

Paisley saw Adey had a back pack so she grabbed her own bag and her "matey's" and wanted me to take her picture too!

Countdown to school...

I love being a mom and finding ways to make my girls happy (challenging at times and no our life isn't always perfect and we have some things we can always improve on but we strive to make the most and find ways to make each day great and learn from what went wrong) so with this being Adelynn's "first" summer vacation, I tried to make the most of doing things together from family hikes to 7 peaks to visiting the large amount of family we have to playing at the park to enjoying lazy days at home to birthdays/holidays to swimming to BBQ's to playing with cousins/neighbor friends to parades/city days to homework/art projects to cooking/baking to much more I am sure I am not even thinking of (next summer I hope to do more as our littler ones will be a little older).

As the summer was coming to an end and I was losing my little girl to yet another year of school/learning/fun...I wanted to do a 7 day countdown because lets be honest, this little girl started the summer out sad to be out of school because she LOVED it and was going to miss her teachers and her friends and was even nervous about going to first grade where she would be at school all day to the end of summer her talking non-stop and asking non-stop how much longer until school started and that she couldn't wait for this or that and eating lunch at school was gonna be so fun to etc, etc, etc... (this mom was quite sad that I wouldn't have my mini me half day with but happy she loved school so much)  This is what we ended up doing (although there was more I wanted to do it was just harder with littler ones at home...next summer countdown we will do more)

Thursday: Play date with cousins, Swimming with cousins
Friday: 7 peaks, family movie and snuggles at home
Saturday: BBQ lunch with cousins, Minnions movie with popcorn and family, Chubby's for dinner
Sunday: church, art project, family bike ride/wak
Monday: walk/bike ride to the library/park, meet the teacher, gymnastics, Ice cream for family night
Tuesday: gymnastics, Play date with Abby, Pizza Pie Cafe for last day of summer vacation

AF pool day

This past Saturday was August 1...summer vacation for miss Adey bug is slowly coming to an end.  She starts first grade in just a few short weeks; however, I think we both have some mixed feelings about this day.  So we are trying to soak it all up and enjoy these last few weeks of the beautiful summery weather.  This particular day we headed over the American Fork public pool (we were going to go to 7 peaks AGAIN but it was closed to the public for some event) and we went with Nate's sister, Kimberly, and her family.  It was fun and not crowded and just a perfect, easy, yet relaxing afternoon.  We didn't even get burnt (thank goodness for sunscreen).  Both girls went down the slide a few times, played in the lazy river, and swam in the pool (Even miss Emery played in the water some before she fell asleep for a little nap in her daddy's arms).  Thanks Kimberly and Stephen for inviting us...we had a great time!
