Paisley and cookies...

a blog or two earlier I had talked about those yummy pumpkin chocolate chip cookies we had made and wished I had a picture of at least one of my kids devouring them...well here ya go:

They didn't last long in our house and we just may have to make some more this weekend.  I also think we may mail some to my family wishing they were here with us sharing some!

October 7...pumpkin choc. chip cookies

This is what we chose to do to keep our 31 days of Halloween going:

Tonight the girls and I had FHE (family home evening) where we had a mini lesson on making good choices this week and helping others to make good choices as well.  We read a little story and then had family prayer and then ate some yummy pumpkin chocolate chip cookies (I wish I would have taken some pictures of them devouring the cookies...very yummy recipe that we will make again) that Adey and I had made before hand!

the recipe can be found here but of course I found it on pinterest:

then after the cookies...I put Paisley to sleep for the night and Adey and I played hi ho cheerio for our activity...although I think it should be called hi ho apples...they look more like apples.  does anyone else agree?!

ps...I rarely ever wear make up any more...just takes too much time!  I know I am lazy.  Maybe someday I will start getting ready again ;)

and of course Adey is really into having me take goofy pictures of herself!  Just love her!

the past few days

it is extremely nice to let things go and know we are trying our hardest to make the most and have fun together as a family.  Just a peaceful thought that has crossed my mind lately and am grateful for this feeling that I have finally felt!  And with that sad...so with the sickness in our home we have missed a few days of our Halloween fun every day but did color in our Halloween coloring book every day those few days...but will be in full swing tomorrow.  In the mean time here are a few things we have done the past few days:

She loves this chair and I love cheap durable stuff from Walmart...

then we put it down and apparently she loves this smoothie too because she kept bending over to take sips.  We are also glad that she is slowly starting to feel better and get back to her normal self!

Adey had asked for toast and eggs for breakfast this past yesterday (Saturday) and so I surprised her with some nutella on it and I let Paisley try it.  Lets just say it is def. a FAVORITE in our home!  I mean look at the aftermath...mmmmmmm

And after breakfast it was a beautiful crisp morning and so we headed over to the local park.  Adey had her friend Eastynn stay the night so of course she came with us and played before she had to go home:

she loves climbing up the slide

Paisley was fascinated in watching them...I bet she was thinking "...some day I am gonna do that too"

we blew bubbles...Paisley can blow a few but most of the time she prefers to just eat the wand

I love this pic!

She too loves climbing...

and is determined...

it scares me to watch her go down the other way...

oh ya...she is working on standing on her own.  She will get on her feet and hands and try standing up...sometimes she falls on her bum and other times just goes forwards.  she is getting better and won't be long before she is on the go go go...

but for now she gives up and resorts to this...

and yet the stairs again...

she still loves gymnastics and flipping on the bars...

and look she landed on her feet...so proud!

this is just before Adey landed face down in the bark and split her lip some so we headed home to stop the bleeding.  It was getting chilly any way and time to head in.

October 3....decor

Paisley went to bed early because she is still coughing and not feeling the greatest.  This is what Adey and I did in the mean time:

fall decor in our basket on our table along with pumpkin place mats

we have 4 halloween towels and this cute rug in our kitchen

our countdown, movies, and caldron in the living room

Adey every day makes sure we change this countdown...glad she likes it so much!

spider web, boo sign, candy dishes and statues on our buffet table

our scarecrows in our hall way

we have lights on our deck...but we want to make a wreath and pick up a few more items...i sure love the holiday and so does Adey.  Now just to make sure Paisley joins us in the fun too!

October 2...pumpkin crepes

Today we had pumpkin crepes...I need to work on the recipe before I share but they were yummy...but not perfect:

October 1...pumpkin hot chocolate

So this year I decided every day of October we would do something related to fall/Halloween/pumpkin/ you get the point...Tonight Adey and I shared pumpkin Hot Chocolate filled in our pumpkin cups:

stephens is the BEST...and made in our cocomotion (just a hot chocolate maker/mixer)

Paisley is kind of sick and went to bed really early so Adey and I had a fun night just the two of us:

we played a game

of course Adey is pink and in the pic she had just won the game

here is what our cooties looked like

and then we had a photo shoot before bed...some goofy and some serious:

This little girl makes me laugh so much and smile all the time.  She is a huge part of my life and so grateful that she is my daughter and I get to be her mom!
