Valentine's 2015

I know everyone says we should share our "love" year round but it can still be fun to have an extra day to show are our "extra special love" is how we explained it to Adey and Paisley.  All day today they have been giving each other extra hugs and kisses and saying extra I love you's to each other.  Adey even said no one should ever have to work or go to school on Valentines...even though this year it fell on a Saturday (so Adey did have the day off but Nate's day off is Wednesday and Sunday so unfortunately...someone's gotta bring home the bacon but its ok because we had a nice a breakfast together as a family and I get to go on a date with my love tonight)

Adey gave her friends at Kindergarten Monster High Valentines that came with Tattoo's and she added bubbles to go with

Adey with her Valentine's from school

We got Adey 5 gerber Daisy's and a balloon for her first Valentine at school.  She was so happy when we picked her up and they were sitting in her seat.  Next year we will have them sent to her since she will be at school all day (half day kindergarten is hard)

Adey gave Paisley an extra bubble she had left over from her Valentines.  This little one and bubbles is a match made in Heaven...she LOVES bubbles!

Valentine's 2015...bucket of love came with chocolate, frozen stickers and tattoo's, Mr.Poppers Penguins (we watched this after breakfast and the girls loved it), and Uno (a new game for the family to play...we are a game playing family...thats for sure!)

our breakfast came with purple heart pancakes, sausage, strawberries with whip cream and a dash of red sprinkles...traditions are fun!

Fun time and sunshine

Last week after Adey got out of school I wanted to take the girls to do something fun.  The weather has been gorgeous (sunny and in the 60's) gotta take advantage of that and be outside.  So we packed a picnic with yummy/healthy food and drinks and headed to a park we have never been to (ended up going to Orem).  The pictures explain what kind of afternoon we had:

Giddy up

This is how we spend our Sundays...playing outside/inside, building tents, watching movies, and much much more...like using Nate as a HORSE!

Happy New Year

So Paisley of course fell asleep earlier than us and Adey was ready for bed around 9.  So we chose to do our celebration a little early and next year will include Paisley and maybe even McKinley.  We had headbands and poppers and sparkling cider and it was fun!

It's snow time!

Shoveling snow, eating snow, building a snowman, throwing snowballs...lets face it playing in the snow is just so much fun!  We sure wish it would come back like it normally does so we can play in it again!

afterwards is time for snuggles, cartoons, snuggles and hot chocolate!

December in a blur...

Our beautiful tree!

&& our stockings...I love decorating for the holidays:

&&& Our beloved Annabelle the Elf came back to visit us...we were all so good this year and she sure spoiled us this year! (she made elf milk, a snowman on our door, decorated our TV, brought us bowl full of chocolate, wrote us a message with marshmallows, ate some of our pizza and of course watched us from various places in our house like the light and tree and stockings...she is a great little addition to our holiday season!)

To start the season off this year we made hand print wreaths!  The girls both love doing art projects!

Then we made reindeers also using our hands:

Adey made her own button tree...Paisley didn't want to make one:

We went with some friends up to Temple Square to see the beautiful lights...it was so busy and cold and this was the only picture we got:

Adey got to see Santa...Paisley was asleep (surprisingly)

And of course on Christmas Eve we made cookies for Santa...and put out milk and carrots too!  We love to spoil Santa and he ate quite a few which means we must have done a good job!

And of course...Christmas Day!

We had a wonderful holiday season (next year I will need to catch more traditions on camera...but we had a great first Christmas as a new family. Crazy to think next year we will be adding another little girl to our family and it will be even more fun)
