Valentines 2017

Here is some fun from our Valentines holiday this year:

Another gymnastics meet

Adelynn had her second gymnastics meet last Saturday up in West Valley.  She competed against 9 girls her age level and skill level this time and we saw improvement in all areas compared to the last meet.  She learned at this competition though to make sure to give herself enough running room for her vault which is normally her highest scoring event and this time was her lowest.  She tried harder this time and we can tell she is getting less nervous and more comfortable with competing and are excited to watch her skills/talents develop over what we hope to be many years in this sport!  two major meets down and three more to go! We will probably let her compete in the two fun gym meets that are in april and july if we are around!

She 8.8 on all her scores except vault she got 7.9 and placed 5th overall out of 8

Hoggle Zoo 2017

So about two weeks ago, on a Saturday, we noticed the weather was getting beautiful and warming up and the sun was trying to peek through the cloud but even with out the sun completely out it was a beautiful day and we didn't want to be stuck inside.  So we started thinking about things to do outside in Utah that we haven't done in a while and the zoo popped into both mine and Nates heads without even discussing it and I asked him what we should do.  Like something out side and maybe the zoo and he said that is exactly what he was thinking of too.  So we got everyone dressed and packed the back pack with snacks and filled water bottles and loaded the car and headed out.  It takes about 40ish minutes to get there.  We found front row parking and the zoo wasn't packed at all and we got to see some close ups of some animals and some shows from the animals and had an ok lunch (the brick oven pizza was honestly gross but the chicken and fries which is what Nate and I got we shared with girls and they had some fruit from our bags and we got souvenir cups) and some we didn't see nor did we get to play on the playground but overall we had a fantastic couple of hours!  We are so looking forward to the weather changing from winter to spring so we can get outside more often again!
