love oven bake dinners

http://www.kayotic.nl/blog/lazy-sunday-casserole

tonight I made this for dinner but used a summer link sausage, my own spices, and added corn per request of Adey.  turned out really good and we ate ours with ketchup:

Movie on the porch

After I had my snuggles with Paisley and getting her to sleep (yes I know she turned 1 yesterday but I still nurse her...trying to decide when/how to go about weaning her), anyway Adey and I took some blankets outside, cookies we just made and my laptop along with Mulan.  We ate our cookies, drank our cold drinks (because boy was it ever so HOT) and watched our movie.  We got lots of snuggles in along with tons of questions asked (don't we love the many endless questions from 3 almost 4 year olds?).  It was a nice memorable night with one of my special little girls:

DIVA

this not so little girl of mine is turning into such a DIVA...we were at the children's place store yesterday and all she wanted was jewelry and body spray.  She always has to wear dresses or skirts (hard to get her to even consider shorts or pants).  Today when we were swimming before church she had to lay out and "work on her tan" she said.  Then before dinner I catch her painting her nails.  Wow and we aren't even 4...what are the next 15 1/2 years going to bring me?!  HELP!

even using those toes separators

first PB and J...

Today for an afternoon snack after church Adey wanted a PB and J sandwich and I started thinking well Paisley is 1 so lets see what she thinks:

picking it up...

and we have success!

and of course a picture of this beauty...although you can see sandwich through her teeth.  oh well doesn't take even slightest bit of gorgeousness away!

new recipes

so I made both of these this week and they both were the only ones I would consider remaking...but I forgot to take pictures but for my own records I wanted to still blog the until I had time to add them to my recipe book:

I didn't make the glaze with this bread and it was still yummy and made my house smell really good

I didn't use corn because I forgot and I didn't use avocado because I am sensitive or allergic...but I did use turkey bacon and a cilantro dressing and it was really yummy!

Happy birthday Paisley

Today is Paisley's 1st birthday.  Me and the girls went swimming, had snuggles, went to another friends kids birthday party, and had a few more presents for Paisley to open:

I love how her face was captured in this picture!

Happy 1st birthday party

Last Saturday June 22 I threw a small party for Paisley at the big park in West Jordan over by the courthouse...it was for her 1st birthday and yes I am gonna ask: where has this past year gone?  Can't believe we are already around to this time of the year.  Anyway...I did a Minnie Mouse theme and we did sandwiches with strawberries/blueberries with two fruit dips and carrots/celery with ranch and waters/yummy pink punch/juice boxes.  I made Paisley a big cupcake along with little cupcakes for everyone else.  She loves her new presents and I am grateful for all the PJ's she got!  Thank you so much to everyone for making her "day" so extra special!  Happy Birthday party day my little Princess!

she can always make me laugh...thanks grandma Astle aka "grammy"

love this man...such an amazing story teller and example in my life aka "grandpa"

two handsome little boys...can't believe how big they are now.  When they came into my life they were not even 1 yet and now look at them...my how time flies

I am so proud of how her cake turned out.  I definitely have more appreciation for those that decoration these bad boys for a living...so much work and time but I did have fun!  Can't wait to make Adey's
