some of our Halloween crafts

We used toilet paper and crushed the middle section to make the end look like a pumpkin and used it as a stamp with orange paint.  then they added green stems with a paint brush...it was quite fun!

We also painted paper plates all green and cut out hats and made a face to make it look like a witch.  Paisley didn't get into it as much as Adey did...but hey she tried.

and then there were...

Yep...so Nate and I are expecting another little one April 30, 2015.  We are very much excited as is Adelynn but Paisley has no idea just yet (we hope the adjustment for her is as easy as it was for Adelynn for the most part...but we shall see).  I have been pretty sick and extremely tired as compared to my two previous pregnancies.  As I post this I am almost 14 weeks and have gained almost 5 pounds (I am slowly getting back my energy to exercise some and eat a little better...I am glad cause I have to keep my streak going of gaining less than 20 pounds again...I can do this!)  We have our names picked out for both genders and our brother in law is gonna do an ultra sound for around 17 weeks (just before we head to Nebraska for Thanksgiving with my family) and then we will have our long, invasive ultrasound with our doctor after we get back sometime in December (before Christmas).  So far the baby is doing well and I am pretty sure I have felt it move (like the flutters...I have read the more kids you have it is more common to feel it around this time in your pregnancy...so I am just gonna with that so I don't feel like a crazy pregnant lady!)  Stay tunned for the updates as this little babe continues to grow!

School Carnival

So Adey's school does one fundraiser every year and that is it.  Kind of nice...it is a carnival and was pretty fun.  Adey's favorite part I would say was getting to dunk her teacher in the dunk booth.  If they didn't hit the target with the ball then you could push the button and then you get sprayed along with your teacher getting dunk.  Adey didn't hit the target but didn't pass up the chance to dunk Ms. Shaw. The girls also got their face painted and glitter put in the hair and nails painted and played at the bounce houses and watched some Irish dancing.  It was an in expensive little family day out and of course it was nice to help support the school.

First day of school

Well...what a whirlwind this little girl had for her first day of school.  She was supposed to go to the local public school (she started out as 6th on the waiting list for Odyssey Charter School  then dropped to 1st by the beginning of school which mean she had a good chance of getting in but I still had to register her at the public school just in case no one dropped out).  Well 3 days into the school year, I got a phone call telling me they had 2 openings one in morning and one in afternoon and since Adelynn was first on the waiting list I needed to call and let them know if we wanted to attend and of course no hesitation.  I have always wanted my children to receive a great education and be pushed beyond their limits and I just felt public school in Utah wouldn't do that for them so as a mom I was concerned.  I had to bring Adey in the next day for testing to see where she was at intellectually (she just did this that same day for the public school for kindergarten since they started a week later than the charter school so she got tested two days in a row).  She did really well at the testing and they told me they would let me know by email which class she would be in and she would start tomorrow (Friday).  I had to go get her school uniforms and everything and it was just so exciting!  I received the email a little later that said they would like to place Adelynn in the AM Advanced Kindergarten class.  I was so excited....Advanced...my little girl is just so smart!  She tries hard and I am so proud of her!  She also has a passion and love to learn!  So here she is...my little girl on her first day of school.  I know she will go far and just love it!

7 Peaks fun

I love having 7 peaks passes every year...so much fun to go to the water park and enjoy the water in this hot/dry state!  This is a tradition I am gonna keep up every year getting us a family pass cause even when it isn't summer we get free movie passes and in to the bumper boats (Trafalgar Square) and into sports events for free and other stuff...its great to have.  Love traditions!

Frozen birthday party

This year with the wedding and the move, I just decided to do a joint birthday party for the girls.  Their birthdays are only 3 weeks apart any way so it wasn't that big of a deal.  They agreed for it to be a frozen water party...we got a pool and a sprinkler and water balloons and water squirters and it was so much fun!  We had sandwiches and veggies and fruits and cheetos and cupcakes and dipped pretzels and lemonade and squeezy drinks.  We invited friends and family.  I am so grateful for all that came to celebrate these two beautiful little girls and everything they mean to me!  I was shocked to think I had a 2 year old and a 5 year old.  They both are growing up so fast...most days I just wish time would slow down and that I am not ready for these next phases.  They both are so different yet have such a beautiful sisterly bond.  They amaze me every day with their eagerness and love and energy.  These little girls are my life!

After the party I started a tradition a few years ago where they make a wish and kiss their balloon and let it go up in the sky...Paisley didn't really want to let hers go and she was so concerned about Adey's up in the air...it was cute

Adelynn Paige...is the big high 5

We too (Paisley, Nate, and I) took her to her favorite place to eat... Buffalo Wild Wings (BWW)
for her birthday dinner.  She wanted so badly for a shout out and the yummy free chocolate cake with ice cream.

Afterwards we came home and she opened presents....I think she was quite happy with what she got and had a fun birthday night!

We love this little girl to the moon and back and beyond!  She continues to amaze us each and every day with her generosity, her kindness, her helpfulness, and her love she shares with everyone.  Her favorite colors are American colors (red and blue mainly),  she loves to play with her Monster high dolls and barbies, has a strong passion to draw and do any kind of art project that she comes up with or has me help her find EVERY DAY, she loves gymnastics, she is enjoying riding her new bike that Nonni and Grampy got her, her favorite TV shows are Clifford/Rescue Bots/lizzie mcguire/Umi Zoomi/Doc McStuffins/Jake and the Neverland Pirates/Princess Sofia, her favorite movies are American Girl Saige Paints the Sky/Frozen/Malificient, she has the eagerness to learn and enjoys watching animal shows, she says when she grows up she wants to be an ER doctor for Primary Children's or a rock star, she loves to sing and make up her own songs (we often catch her asking us how to spell words because she is making up her own song), she makes friends with everyone she meets, she loves going to church and enjoys primary, she has quite the imagination, she has been caught playing school and using my brown wood crates as her desks...this little girl is gonna excel.  She is so smart and nice and cares.  I love being with her everyday...its a journey and I love being a part of it...I love being her mom.  So grateful she is my first born and gave me the greatest blessing anyone has ever given me!  I thank Heavenly Father every day for this bright little girl and all that she means to me...my little best friend!
