Cedar Hills has a bob sled team...
So with all the snow Utah has already gotten this winter season we have not found time to go and enjoy it (besides a little here and there) until this past weekend. We decided to go sledding and had a lot of fun (even if someone ripped off their finger nail and we hit our bums hard on the rocks or ran into a tree or got a head ache or broke a sled) it was still so much fun! Our girls didn't want to be done but the sun was going down and we had to call it a day. We need to get another sled or two and go again on the next snow day which I thought I was done with the snow but now I really hope we get some more!
Emery Kate...9 months
Weight: 15.2 pounds
Height: 24.75 inches
Head: 16.1 cm
favorites: books, toys that make music, Paisley's moveable plastic snake, snuggling, her sisters making her giggle, mommy (won't let her out of her site rarely), being swaddled at bed and nap times, bath time (we don't use the baby seat anymore), going for walks, and eating (likes everything so far except for pears, oranges, green beans).
She can sit by herself, crawl backwards and has gone a few steps forward, roll all ways, grasp at small objects like cheerios and puffs, say different sounds and sure does like to talk, can pull herself to her knees, will stand if leaning against something or holding on to someones fingers, can go from belly to sitting and back to belly.
Still no teeth, her eyes are still blue, eyelashes are growing long, and hair is coming in thick (never really lost any as a younger baby).

Christmas in Idaho
So after our long trip in Nebraska we took a detour on our way home and stopped at Nate's parents house for their annual Christmas party. We almost spent new years here. We had some sparkling cider and went around the circle telling what we were excited for from 2015 and what we are looking forward to in 2016. After we got the girls to bed, nate and i and his parents and laura and Bruce stayed up late playing a card game and laughed so much it hurt! I got to see a new side of Laura...it was really funny! The christmas party was fun and filled with lots and lots and LOTS of game playing! I learned a new one that was quite fun call puerto rico (which I hope to buy for Nate this next Christmas...shhhh don't tell him). We also had a fun kid gift exchange where the girls got a nice dress up cape and a glass tea set. Then we had an adult exchange which was fun...the gifts included mostly from Nate's grandma that recently passed away. We came home with some fun dishes for entertaining and candles and candy and other goodies. There was lots of cousin playing and it was a nice relaxing trip to end our long 2 week vacation (although by the end we were very much ready to sleep in our own bed) I didnt get as many pictures as I wanted but I got some:
A nice long vacation to good ole' Nebraska
So we decided this year to spend the Christmas season with my family in Nebraska, my brother was even able to make it and it was PERFECT. We had made plans to leave on a Tuesday and arrive the next day allowing us to take our time with an over night in Cheyenne. However, we noticed the weather was going to be bad with some snow and a crazy wind storm so we told only my brother that we were leaving 2 days earlier and were going to surprise mom and dad by showing up Monday night instead which was the same night he was going to arrive too. We got there first but hid up the hill and waited for my mom to get home from one of her meetings and my brother to make it there. He made it first and then we saw my mom pull in so then within seconds we pulled up behind my mom and I wish I would have had the video camera cause she was shocked. Then we knocked on the door and my dad answered and his face was just priceless. It was a perfect start to our little vacation!
We hung out, watched movies, stayed up extremely late playing epic games of ticket to ride, we laughed and laughed so much, ate yummy home cooked food, did a lil' shopping, visited my mom's store, saw santa, built animals at build a bear, looked at Christmas lights, the boys went and saw star wars and watched Boise State play their championship game, made Christmas cookies for Santa, went to lunch a few times (took my mom lunch at work one day), played in the snow (which we did have a white christmas), opened presents, went ice skating, did some crafts, played at the pizza machine, and relaxed. It was a great trip!
We had a fantastic 1.5 weeks vacation...it was time to go home but only as I shed some tears along the way. I love my family so much and cherish every moment I get to spend with them as it isn't as often as I wish but at least we are the closest now than we have ever been! On our way home once again we had an over night in Cheyenne but at a different much nicer hotel which included an indoor pool and hot tub! We made sure to leave enough time for swimming and to pack our swimsuits!
