Sisterly LOVE

I am really enjoying watching these sisters form such amazing friendships/bonds/love with one another.  Her are a few of Paisley and Emery lately:

Goo is learning to read!

I love the preschool Paisley goes too and I love that they are sending home these BOB books to help her start reading.  She has already read a few and I am so proud that she can read some and she still has half a year before kindergarten!  go get em' Paisley!

A toddler in overalls?!

I seriously can't get over how cute she looks in overalls...thanks Nonni for these cute overalls!

St. George Meet

So this past Saturday, Adelynn had her first major gymnastics meet all the way down in the more sunny and warmer (than we live) St. George.  We checked into our hotel on a Friday and the meet was Saturday morning.  The drive down for the most part wasn't bad except for one patch between Cedar City and St. George in the mountain pass we traveled through a small snow storm.  But with prayers we made it just fine to our destination late Friday night.  We brought the girls cousin Abby with us and it was a lot of fun.  Nate's parents were traveling up from Arizona and were able to attend the meet and have lunch with us then they were on their way.  Adelynn did pretty good for her first meet.  She placed 4th on vault, didn't place on bars because she had a little trouble pulling back up, 6th on floor, and 10th on beam even though she fell off, and 7th overall.  So decent but we could also tell she was extremely nervous and not fully focused which she already said she will do better for her next meet in February which will be semi local in Sandy.  The girls swam for more than 3 hours after the meet.  Then they came back to the room and got a shower and we went to a local family fun center and played some arcade games.  Afterwards we headed back to the hotel and ate some pizza and watched movies.  The girls during down time colored and drew a lot and it was such a fun, relaxing vacation.

2nd grade Award

Man, Adelynn works so hard in school and gets great grades.  She is still doing 3rd grade math in 2nd grade and her reading is improving too where she will even read chapter books (Paisley is 4 and already starting to read too which is a year before Adey did so maybe Paisley will be the reader while Adey loves math...because we all know reading is by far Adey's favorite subject...NOT).  Well, a few days ago I received an email from Adey's teacher saying she was going to be given an award on Friday (which is today as I type this...I know blogging the same day as something happens is rare for me...) at 8:45.  Nate made sure he could attend and we all went and watched Adey get this award for her hard work in academics.  She also received a coupon for a free cupcake which we will definately be using!  Way to go Adey.  We are so proud of you yet again!  Keep up the hard work and we are enjoying watching you succeed and enjoy life!

Paisley starts a new favorite...

So Paisley has been telling us for a month or two that she isn't enjoying gymnastics and wants to quit.  We thought we would have her do it a little longer just to make sure it is what she wants.  She is only 4 and we are not going to push something she doesn't enjoy but would rather her explore and find something she loves to do.  At this point she has asked to try dance class.  We went to a trial class this past week on Wednesday at MOVE dance studio and she fell in love.  This next Monday will be her last gymnastics class then she will pursue dance and hopefully it will be what she does as her activity for now!  I will say though watching her twirl and spin and move across that floor to music...she looked more happier than we have seen her gymnastics...possibly ever!  She loved it!
