We had a fun and relaxing New Years Eve at our house just as a family. Nate made a yummy breakfast, then took Adey and Paisley out on a date to see Storks (while Emery took a nap and I worked on food for the night time) then when they got home we played some wii, put up our tent and ate some yummy food and watched We're Back. Then when it was over we went outside and do our poppers and noise makers to ring in the new year all at a whopping 8:30...
As I reflect on this past year (2016) I can't help but think even though at times it may have been hard (3 job changes and school for Nate) we made it through with so many great memories and accomplished a lot. Emery turned 1 and learned how to crawl and walk and started Nursery at church talks some and has developed quite the personality and rides a scooter and loves to do whatever her sisters are doing too; and Paisley turned 4 and started Sunbeams at church and preschool 3 days a week and really taking off with learning and can even read some already and is still doing gymnastics but gaining a lot more strength and has learned how to ride a bike with training wheels and loves to dress up and dance and draw and ask you to write every word since she knows all her letters; and Adey turned 7 and started CTR 6 at church and 2nd grade and reading has improved and still in the advanced Math program and was invited to be a part of the bronze gymnastics level and started out 2 days a week but then was asked to be a part of the team that meets 3 days a week for a longer class too and has learned how to ride a bike completely on her own and still loves arts and crafts and music and making videos. I have learned this past year that it goes extremely fast but to let the little things go and try and make memories before they are gone and you missed it. We have gone on several small trips to Idaho to see Nate's family and been to Nebraska to see mine and I got to fly with just Emery for my birthday to see my family and some of my mom's, we started taking the girls on individual and sisterly dates, worked hard on trying to teach the girls what the true meaning of Christmas means, and many more memories that I am so thankful I do this blog journal that I can look back on. Nate went from job to job then started school to extend what he was capable of doing in the internet world and now has an amazing job that pays well and more than takes care of us and that he is loving! What a great feeling. We got a little dog this year for our family too name Elsie. She is now 1.5 and is a jack russell shitzu mix and such a sweet and well mannered little girl. She is perfect for our family with 3 little girls that just love her more than words can describe.
We know 2017 has a lot in store for us with paying off some debt, going on some family trips, making more memories and a few other big ones we hope to see happen! In the mean time we are working on living in the moment and enjoying all we have been blessed with!
We even started a blessings jar that we can write our blessings or fun times down that happen through out the year and put it on paper and will read them the end of this year and I plan to save them over the years that way we can remember always all of our many memories and blessings.
