Fall leaves fall!!!

With all the leaves falling we are enjoying our last days outside before it gets too cold and the snowy, Utah winter hits.  Leave piles,  leave angels, leave fights....all so much fun!

Jakers Pumpkin Patch

This past weekend the weather was chilly but sunny.  We decided to venture out to our all time favorite (and yearly tradition) pumpkin patch in Springville called Jakers.  We love it because there is so much to do from a big corn pit to slides to hay mazes to corn mazes to tractor rides to a petting zoo to a tiny haunted house and more.  It only costs $2 a person ages 5 and up (4 and under are free which is a huge bonus).  So in all it is pretty affordable and we bought pumpkins there this year that we will carve closer to Halloween (since we are going out of a town over fall break and don't want them to rot).  The pumpkins cost .30 cents a pound so for our family it only cost $21 for the pumpkins.  We tried some yummy, warm, fresh doughnuts for a little treat which did not disappoint!  I love my family and I especially love making memories with them around the holidays!  This is one tradition that will never change:

FREE zoo day

This last Wednesday which was February 23 we went to the free zoo day at Hogle Zoo.  Nate was gonna come but because we went later in the day after Adey got out early on early out day, the traffic and the amount of people was a crazy madhouse so he worked and we braved it.  Not too bad and I told the girls we wouldn't be able to see a ton but that we would go back again another day.  They were really good sports about it.  Trying to find a parking space took about 20 minutes but we ended up finding one in the zoo parking lot and pretty close to the entrance.  We snagged it, loaded up the stroller and put our coats on and went to have a little mommy/daughers fun afternnoon:
