Lunch with Adey at school

On Friday, the 20th...Adey had her last full Friday of first grade. We decided to surprise her with lunch and eat with her and play at recess!! Boy was she surprised and excited. A few weeks ago she earned a voucher for some free chick fill a for an award so that's what we brought her:

This is Chloe one of her best friends!

Then we went outside to play. Adey showed off her gymnastics, Emery got loved on by all her friends and enjoyed trying to chew on the bark, and paisley was adored and pushed on the swing! We had a fun time and next year hope to visit Adey a little more at lunch!

Can't believe this crazy girl, Adey, will be in second grade and Paisley goo will be in preschool next year! They grow and amaze me every day! Love my girls!

The parentals are moving...

So Nate's parents have made the decision to sell their house and move into 3 other homes...(Melanies in Arizona to be built from September through May, and divide the other months in ours in Utah to be built and Jeremys in Idaho with basebment to be finished...).  Some of the kids headed up to Cliffton, Idaho this weekend to deep clean and load up the trailer yet again so they can take some more down to Arizona and stay there for a while.  We went and helped while Adey and Paisley had a weekend at Nana and Papas in Utah.  They love going there and spending time with cousins and their other grandparents.  We took Emery with us.

On our way up we stopped at Firehouse subs since Nate always talks about how yummy it is and I have never been...lets just say I agree it did not disappoint:

Then Emery decided it was time for some driving lessons...

And we had to take a picture to send to our other girls...we always miss them when we are away but we know it would be a lot easier and more for fun for them to have not come on this trip...

Back to the ER again...

On Thursday, May 12, Paisley, Emery and I loaded on up on this beautiful sunny day and headed out for a walk to the park.  We got to the park and were deciding to go to the swings when Paisley said she was thirsty so she got a drink.  Then she started complaining of her head starting to hurt and then within seconds BAM...she tensed and locked up and came down with one of her benign paroxysmal torticollis migraines- https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Benign_paroxysmal_torticollis

This happened right before 10 in the morning.  By the time Nate came home from work after 4 she was still down (she did have a short break but that didn't last very long).  So I called her pediatrician and her neurologist which then I was instructed with how long she had been down to take her to the Er and have her checked out.  We sent Emery and Adey to other homes (Kimberly and a neighbor friend) since we had no idea how long we would be there for.

Paisley didn't want to ride in the car but we worked out and got her to the ER.  Once we arrived she started throwing up and tensing up again.  Once they got the IV in her hand (4 tries in each hand/arm/foot) they got some blood drawn and fluids going and a strep test and some pain medicine.  Not much change but she did get a nap in.  None of the ER doctors had ever heard of her condition and especially in someone so little.  They had to contact her neurologist who said that sometimes there are just some episodes that are going to take all day just because.  This time happened to be one of those and keeping Paisley hydrated and giving her some benadryl to help her sleep for many hours is what was needed.  So we will continue to learn the different ways of how to help Paisley (these sure are not fun watching her be in so much pain but we will always be there for her).  Once they ended up discharging her after they gave her some benadryl to help relax her muscles and let her sleep it off.

Once we got home around 930, we had to take Ari home (we are so grateful she came to help).  Paisley was still down at this point so we put her in our bed until we were ready for bed and then moved her and she slept until 7 the next morning where she woke up so energetic and ready for the day.  We sure love this little girl and would do anything we can to help her feel better and get over these Migraines which seriously happen about every 3-4 months.  She is becoming more aware when they are coming on (we are pretty sure it is still heat/sun/water induced).  But each time she comes out of it and is better we are grateful to have her back to her normal, happy, sweet, crazy self!

ducks, geese, pigeons, seagulls...what else?!

This is my family...in my eyes we are made up of four girls and one boy, intelligence, curiosity, spontaneous, good times, giggles, close, enjoyable, loving, helpful...my forever family!

Do you ever just reflect on your life and think...wow I sure am BLESSED!  I am very grateful for who and where I am today.  I am grateful for my trials and learning experiences.  I am grateful for my wonderful parents who have taught me good values and respect for others.  My life definitely hasn't gone the way I thought it was supposed to but that is the beauty of my free agency and the story of my life that has been told thus far.  Excited to see the rest of my story unfold with my beautiful family and where life takes us!

So a few Sundays ago we went up to Sugarhouse park.  They have fun little trail, park, lake, and lots of shade (next time we will bring more bread for all the birds and a kite and play at the park).  This time we went and fed the birds and skipped rocks and took family pictures.  Such a great little family outing!

March dimes #4

So on April 30th we walked for our fourth year in a row for our little miracle Paisley Goo.

I continue to think often how blessed we are for modern medicine and the knowledge the doctors had to help me with the many complications I had during my pregnancy with Paisley.  She may have been born almost 7 weeks early but she was healthy and with the help of the NICU she came home and has been healthy (for the most part minus the migraine problems) ever since and is almost 4!  Prayer was another huge part during this time of my life.  Praying for peace, for comfort, for protection, for health, for guidance...all of which were answered!  I know me and Paisley were being watched over and through my faith and answered prayers I knew everything would end up ok!

This little girl is supposed to be here and the things she and I have been through over the past 4 years, I couldn't have gotten through without her!  All the things I learn from her daily (unconditional love, curiosity, patience, caring, forgiveness, living in the moment).  I love this little miracle and I enjoy every day I have with her and very thankful and grateful for everything she is and has done for me!  I hope she always knows the special place she has in her mommy's heart!

Anyway, back to the March of Dimes Walk 2016.  We went to the one in Provo again and it was even smaller than last year due to change in who was in charge...I am hoping to start volunteering for this organization as it has a special place in my heart for all they did for me and continue to do to help other babies and families around the world.  The stories of the little ones who have lived or passed on...breaks my heart...so many different stories miracle or not.  I have made friends along the way and hope to continue in the years to come as well join together for one organization.

This year the girls got their faces painted, played on the play ground, walked the two laps, ate pizza and chick fillet, played a few games, and did the dance competition.  We won the trophy again for the second year in a row for the parent/child dance together done by Nate both years in a row and we got another free CD with the fun kid songs remix!
