So we have been wanting a tent for quite some time and we were able to get one that we just love this past spring...it is a large 10 person tent for only $100 bucks. We love camping and while we have quite a few things we need to slowly get for our camping supplies this past weekend we tested what we have out.
We went with some friends up to Balsam camp grounds located in the Uinta forest. The drive was just beautiful (although Adey did get a little car sick amongst the windy roads). The site was clean with little hikes around and a stream running through it and a dig a whole enclosed bathroom (boy one time it stunk so bad Paisley and I were gagging). They had fire pits with a rail over it to roast things and picnic tables. It did get a little cold going the first weekend of June but we (our friends slept in the van half of the night) survived with blankets (we don't have sleeping bags yet). We had roasted hot dogs and corn and had cut up fruit and roasted marshmallows with striped cookies (you should really try this some time so you don't have to grab graham crackers and chocolate) and a yummy breakfast. We went on a little hike and overall had a great time besides being so tired from not getting as much sleep as normal (to be expected when camping with kids and toddlers). This is a camp site we hope to go back to sometime. If you are in Utah you really should check this place out sometime.
