Adey has worked so hard over the last 8-9 months being on team for gymnastics for the first time and missing last summer of hard core training. Since competition starting in January as an Xcel Bronze 7 year old, she has learned a lot and improved from meet to meet. The only meet she feel off the beam was her very first meet. She got in the 9.5 club twice over the season. This last Saturday was her last meet of the season and as a 7 year old. She competed against 6 girls her age. The meet was at her gym. This time I was so focused on just watching and cheering her on we forgot to take some pictures (also recording scores) but Nate did get a video of floor on his phone. Here are her scores and placements this time:
Bars: 9.450 3rd place (tied with the 4th place but overall placed her 3rd)
Floor: 9.500 3rd place (tied for 2nd but overall score placed her 3rd)
Vault: 9.100 5th place (one of the other gyms had girls that did great and this isn't Adey's strong area)
Beam: 8.875 4th place (by only .025 of a point from 3rd place)
Overall: 36.925 3rd place
So very proud of our girl!
