Accident

I got that dreaded phone call Saturday night July 31: "Mom, I have been in a car accident..." my oldest was in her friends car coming home from a birthday party late at night. They were on the freeway merging over in almost stopped construction traffic when someone going over 50 mph didn't even try to stop slammed into another car and them and caused a total of 5 cars to be involved. Swipe to see the damage...
.
I am just so glad it wasn't as worse as it could have been. Everyone walked away except one person whose car spun; they were taken to the ER. Adey was in the middle row by the door of the side that got hit. I am so glad it didn't send her car into the concrete barrier or hit her door. I have been in shock just trying to wrap my head around how lucky everyone involved was. The mom in Adeys car asked them all minutes before if they were all wearing their seat belts. What an incredible blessing it was for her to get that feeling to ask them all. And she seemed prepared a few seconds before as she saw this car coming in her mirror not even trying to stop. I am grateful they were being watched over.

My daughter might have walked away with a concussion (a head ache, a little sore and nauseous last night and today) and I am glad that is all she has. But had that driver been paying attention none of this would have ever happened!
