Fairy gardens

Last year when my parents were here for the wedding we headed up the canyon past Heber City into the Unitas mountains pass Kamas to visit the Fairy Gardens.  Its this cool experience where different people bring their painted rocks, play houses, figures, cars, glitter, etc... and decorate a spot.  It has this magical thought that fairy's come out and visit this garden.

So this year, even though my dad was unable to come and our friend Nate Pappas, we still wanted to head up.  So on Friday we attempted it.  We stopped for dinner in Heber City on our way up.  We almost thought we would have to turn around because as we were entering the mountains we thought we spotted a bear (turned out to be a rock...we think/hope...lol).  We got there, got out of the van, found our rocks to paint and painted them and tried to head on over to cross the river but we couldn't (the water was too high and moving too fast).  So we through rocks in the river and headed back home.  We think the best time to go would be July through like October when you don't have the snow melted run off...it was still a nice beautiful drive and we have our rocks ready!
