What a fun time of year when spring is starting to bloom and the pastel colors (or vibrant...which ever you prefer) come out with the season of Easter. This year was a low key Easter for us (we didn't color eggs or do many holiday crafts) but we did go on a few different egg hunts: two put on by our ward, one with Eagle Mountain city where we are building our house and we went a family lunch afterwards, and the bunny filled and hid our empty eggs we left out for him and he filled our baskets with goodies and ate the carrots we left for him. We went to church and had a yummy dinner on Easter Sunday and talked through out the week the true meaning of the holiday (hopefully next year we will get to do somethings from our Easter book from grandma/grandpa Astle). We ended the holiday by going on a fun family walk and played at the park. What a wonderful holiday this is!

Gymnastics meet...
On Saturday, March 26, Adey got to compete in her first ever competition with the girls her age in her level of difficulty at her gym. There were 10 girls in her division. To start the competition off they marched the girls out in their teams and then we did the national anthem (I am grateful to be an American and I always get tears in my eyes hearing it). Then the competition begun. The girls got to warm up before each event.
We are so proud of Adey and her hard work. She too was pleased with herself and said she can't wait for the next competition which we think is this summer! And a special thanks to nonni and Grampy for helping her develop this love for gymnastics she has!

this 4 people mean the world to me...
Last Sunday was just gorgeous out (little did we know we had some snow coming our way this next week...BOO...especially since it is officially spring time. Please NO more snow) so we went on a long family walk and then ended up at the park. Emery loves the stroller and being outside and Paisley loves riding her bike and Adey loves her new scooter. Spending time in nature without electronics or toys with these 4 enjoying their company and laughter and memories is....PRICELESS! I am so blessed to live this life I have been given, maybe not always easy and sometimes leaving me wondering, but for now I see a clear picture and I know there is a wonderful path laid out for me with these 4 in it. We had so much fun on the slides and the swings and playing horsey and chasing each other....I LOVE my life!
We came home and decorated our strawberry cupcakes that we had made before our walk that we were just letting cool. And Emery loved it (we let her have one a few weeks shy of her first birthday...I still can't believe she is almost 1. It sure went fast!)
